I have a new story up at Future Tense Fiction, a speculative fiction series from Arizona State University’s Center for Science and the Imagination. It’s called “Mirror, Mirror,” and it’s about an attempt to create a caregiving robot that responds to the human gaze (and also Claude Monet, Marina Abramović, ambition, and love). The story is paired with art by Rey Velasquez Sagcal and an essay by Will Hellwarth, who created the video game Before Your Eyes, which responds to eye movements. You can read the story here.
